Mama Kwan’s Review: Best Outer Banks Restaurant for 2017 In My Opinion!

Mama Kwan’s Review

In this Mama Kwan’s review, I will talk briefly about why I rate Mama Kwan’s as the best restaurant on the Outer Banks and why you should stop there while on vacation!

If you are vacationing soon to the Outer Banks and wondering about some great places to get a bite to eat, then Mama Kwan’s Grill & Tiki Bar is a must try.

I have dined in many Outer Banks restaurants over the years, however, this is probably my most frequented spot to eat hands down!

Where is Mama Kwan’s located?

Mama Kwan’s is located around mile post 9 situated in Kill Devil Hills. The exact physical address of this restaurant is 1701 S Croatan Highway. However, if you are new to OBX, then the mile markers are your best friend to find it.

It’s in the area of what locals often call “burger alley”. If you are not familiar with this area, it where others like FiveGuys, McDonalds, Wendys, Azteca, etc..

How Is The Service?

Mama Kwan’s is a family oriented, non-chained environment where everybody knows your name and always knows what you want. The owners and staff are always nice, courteous and very service oriented. The food & service is always great and on point every visit.

How is Mama Kwan’s Food?

The next part of this Mama Kwan’s review that I cover is the FOOD. There is not much on the menu that I have not tried. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is absolutely de-lect-able! But I must say that if you love fish tacos, then hmm, hmmm, hmmm. Mama Kwan’s has the bomb dotcom blackened fish tacos. I don’t know what’s in the Mama Kwan’s fish taco recipe, but they are the best fish tacos that I have had thus far.

The Big Kahuna, which is their grilled chicken sandwich topped with cheese, lettuce & pineapples accompanied by fries. And yes, it is tasty also.

I think that all of the food on Mama Kwan’s menu (lunch & dinner) is priced right and very affordable for all pockets.  So it doesn’t matter if you are dining solo or with a family of kids, Mama Kwan’s is a great option to eat.

I have mentioned only 2 of my personal favorites that I love, however to learn more about Mama Kwan’s menu & food, visit online at mamakwans.com.

Conclusion

I hope that this brief review of Mama Kwan’s food has opened up your appetite for your next vacation to the Outer Banks.

iPage Review: What is iPage? Is iPage a Scam or Legit? Read this first?

iPage Review: What is iPage?

If you are reading this iPage review, likely you are looking to see if the $1.99/month special is worthwhile or perhaps someone recommended their hosting services to you.

What to Expect in This Review of iPage

If you are looking for a web host that is reliable, but that won’t break your pockets, then this iPage review will discuss if you should start your website with them or not. Also, I talk to you about iPage’s customer service, the iPage hosting plans, iPage uptime and more.

To learn more about what to consider before signing up, please read this entire iPage review!

Why iPage?

iPage at www.ipage.com, in my opinion is probably the cheapest, but most reliable hosting services out there. The company came on the scene in 1998 and currently boast having 1 million sites that it services.

I have built several sites and tried different web hosting services and wanted to give iPage a spin. I know that it’s hard to find a good web hosting company that will really deliver so I though that I would write this iPage Review to gives you a heads up of what to expect and what you are really getting into before you get started with them.

In the past I have reviewed other web hosts like BluehostInMotionHostgator, and even WP Engine. However, there is something that none of the latter can compete with and that’s pricing! Yeah I said it. With this little guy you can starting building your website for a little $1.99/month and that’s lower than any other web hosting company online that I could find!

When comparing all except WP Engine, that works out to be a savings a 50-70% on web hosting plans. WP Engine is super expensive beginning at $29/month!

Recently, I started an iPage account to test them out and see how sites run using their servers. I have 4 sites online today and they are one that I am using.

iPage Uptime

iPage boost a 99.99% uptime for their web hosting which is great. My site pages were loading very fast and I didn’t notice any downtimes during the month of December which is awesome. Uptime should be of upmost importance because if your website is online, then that means potential customers don’t find and thus your business loses money. This I believe is amazing to have these consistent numbers with iPage.

iPage Review: The iPage Hosting Plans

As mentioned on the beginning of this iPage Review, some web host like Bluehost and Hostgator start around $3.95/month for web hosting. And WP Engine, a managed wordpress hosting starts at $29/month and goes up to $249/month. However, the great thing about the iPage hosting plans is that they start at only $1.99/month. The web hosting comes with:

  • Free domain registration
  •  Unlimited domain named allowed
  • Unlimited disk space
  • Unlimited email accounts
  • Unlimited MySQL databases
  • SEO Marketing tools
  • Free Weebly Website Builder
  • Free Templates

Should you use iPage to Host your website or not?

The purpose of this iPage review is not to tell you what to do. I will help you get the facts to be informed of your options. I have personally used their services and never had a problem with them. You can use the chat support or by calling 1-877-472-4399. However, it’s not about me, it’s about if it’s for you or not.

So in the next part of this iPage review we will tackle the customer support and iPage complaints. By considering this aspect of the their hosting will help you determine if there are for you or not.

Although iPage is 100% legit, there is a lot to consider before you sign up with their hosting services. As part of my research, I decided to visit the BBB site to see what they thought about the company. You can read the iPage BBB Report for yourself to see what I found. (This link will open in another tab to view).

When I checked out their report online I was a very surprised to see that they have an A+ rating. This is great in my opinion for a company that has been in business for 20 years. However, the truth is, there are many iPage complaints just like any other web hosting company on the net as you see in their report.

Although there are some unhappy customers, I think that it is equally impressive how they have maintained an A+ rating over the years. This means that they have responded to complaints and/or resolved them.

As you will see, some have complained about things like a lack of customer support and billing issues. However, they are know mostly for their very low $1.99/month web hosting services when compared with their competitors.

SiriusXM Radio Review: Do My SiriusXM Radio Complaints Go Ignored?

SIRIUSXM RADIO

If you are reading this SiriusXM review, you probably have tried them, hate them or have a legitimate complaint to rant like me. If so, keep reading to see why I would NEVER signup with these people nor try their car radio services.

When it comes to sales and telemarketers we all have had our complaints and 2 cents. There are a few things that I absolutely hate that you would no doubt agree with if you have had any communication by SiriusXM Radio:

Receiving repeated unsolicited calls, emails or mailings from them.

How did it start? I don’t know. But what I can say is that I NEVER signed up with these guys, but they have called me several times at all hours and emailing me trying to convince me to subscribe to their radio. After the repeated calls by SiriusXM Radio representatives, I started getting emails below. NOTE: I never provided my email to SiriusXM Radio, yet I got these below:

These emails are merely 2 of many that I have gotten from them.

After several calls and emails, I told SiriusXM customer service to remove me from their list please as I never signed up nor subscribed to their radio service. The calls stopped which was great, NOT. Although the rep told me that I would be removed, they then started sending sales mailings every week.

Are these people crazy? People have and should be able to exercise their right to not receive unsolicited sales-related calls, emails and mailings.

Today I got yet ANOTHER mailing from SiriusXM Radio for one of my cars. Do these people ever rest? How do they even know that a person’s car is equipped or supports SiriusXM Radio or not? How do they get this info if not provided directly from the source?

Conclusion

These are some of my personal SiriusXM Radio complaints that go unheard by the company that I wanted to mention in this brief SiriusXM Radio review..

Has this been your experienced with SiriusXM Radio? Do you get unwanted mailings, calls, or emails from them that you never signed up for? I have seen online that others complained about billing issues and more.
