How I Heard About Namcheap?
As as beginner online you may or may not know much about Namecheap. They are a domain name registrar. Domain name registrars allow you to registrar domain names which will be the name of your website. You can also buy web hosting which stores all of your files, content, data of your website & serve it to the world.
When I initially heard about Namecheap, I was simply looking for a better place to buy cheaper domain names to create WordPress websites. I used to buy everything at Godaddy, but decided to leave being they were charging too much and increasing prices on every thing each year.
I saw an ad online and decided to give Namecheap a try and glad that I did! Since then, I have been purchasing all of my domains there being it saves an average of about $10/domain each year. I have over 30 domains just to give you idea of the savings on that.
I tried their shared web hosting out, then later look into their EasyWP Starter platform that came out later in beta stage. Now with this new addition, their WordPress hosting platform offers more resources & handles higher volumes of web traffic than the shared web hosting plans.
If you would like to learn how to create a WordPress website using Namecheap shared hosting, then checkout the following tutorial below. It gets a lot of views on Youtube because beginners LOVE it! I think you will enjoy it also. Let me know in the comments area below.
The Costs of Namecheap Starter Monthly
If you want to create a website with Namecheap you will basically have 3 web hosting plans to select from: EasyWP Starter, EasyWP Turbo and EasyWP Supersonic.
The pricing for the monthly are $3.88/month, $7.88/month and $11.88/month. Each package offers its own benefits for creating WordPress websites online.
The Costs of Namcheap Starter Yearly
You will notice one of big differences with the yearly plans is that you save more money. There is a 50% off discount on your 1st year of Namecheap EasyWP. This brings the pricing to only $14.94/month for EasyWP Starter, only $34.44/month for EasyWP Turbo and $49.88/month for EasyWP Supersonic.
Which Is Better For Your Website?
The purpose of this EasyWP Starter review is not to tell you what to do. However, you can clearly see that you will save the most money IF you get one of the Namecheap Starter yearly plans. This is what I recommend that beginners do versus paying month-to-month.
You can get a year or several years of web hosting upfront which essentially will save more money when web hosting renews. This is exactly what I did when I got started with Namecheap and I have been able to create several WordPress with their platform.
As you can see Namecheap has the EasyWP Starter, EasyWP Turbo and EasyWP Supersonic. If you are migrating from another web hosting provider and your website has higher volumes of web traffic, then perhaps Turbo or Supersonic are better. These 2nd and 3rd-tier plans support sites with more page views.
The great thing is that if you get started with Starter plan and would like to upgrade later, it’s easy to so. So with this said, I recommend that you get the plan that you feel will be best for your web hosting needs.
Next in this Namecheap Starter review I want to talk you about uptime performance and how it affects your SEO rankings. You see many beginners online may not realize how their rankings in search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing depend on server uptime.
What is uptime performance? It is a simple measure of how often your website is online when viewers search of it. For example, today you wanted to know more about Namecheap EasyWP Starter plans. Thankfully you found this Namecheap EasyWP review. But this really reason you found it and are still here is due to awesome uptime performance.
I mention this because every web hosting provider should have rock-solid uptime performance for your website. This is exactly what you deserve and what you will get when getting started today at Nameheap EasyWP official website.
Google recommended page load time are less than 3 seconds for desktop and mobile. This means that you need a web hosting provider that has measures in place to promote fast page loads to rank higher in the search engines.
Thankfully, Namecheap WordPress hosting does an amazing job in this area and I think you will happy with them. When you take a look at the graph below you will notice fully loaded times for some competitors: Bluehost, Godaddy, WP Engine, and Kinsta.
Although their competitors have load times under the 3 second benchmark, Namecheap has a load time of only 0.7 seconds. This means that it is faster performance.
On top of this you will notice the pricing. With EasyWP, it starts at only $3.88 per month. However, hosts like WP Engine has a fully loaded time of 0.9 seconds and costs a whopping $35 per month! Namecheap beats the so-called best WordPress hosting with speed and pricing.
Content delivery networks are great for caching, promoting fast page loads, blocking malware and DDoS attacks. Although there are many popular WordPress caching plugins, if you are using their EasyWP Turbo or Supersonic, then you will get FREE CDN for your website.
The thing that I really love about having a CDN on the site is that it will prevent websites from crashing. This could particularly happen if your website experiences spikes in web traffic. This is something that is bound to happen as some point or another, but it’s good to be prepared ahead.
This website get THOUSANDS of visitors from all over the world. The CDN processes all of this web traffic so that visitors like YOU have a better user experience while landing on web pages.
Another thing that I wanted to mention in this Namecheap Starter review is that you receive FREE SSL certificate through Let’s Encrypt.
You will notice that this blog learnanet has a SSL certificate. Website security is important for Google. The purpose of them is to let your visitors know that your website is secure. It will secure and protect sensitive user information with an https encryption. These are great especially if you accept credit/debit card payments on your website or want to sell products on an eCommerce store.
In addition to SSL certificates, you will get backups of your websites. This is always great if something goes wrong with your website, then it can be restored. Of course there are many great Backup WordPress plugins that you could select from for your website, but Namecheap takes care of this.
Below are the EasyWP dashboard and cPanel. It’s simple and easy to use. You can managed install WordPress and maintain all of your domain names under your account. All of your domain names come with FREE Namecheap whoisguard.
Whoisguard is simply domain privacy protection that blocks spam related inquired and makes private your info online. Some providers like Bluehost and Godaddy charge for it, but you get it FREE at Namecheap. All of this and other resources are accessible in your dashboard.
Whether you create a website using WordPress or any other CMS platform, it’s always good to have customer support in the event you have questions. I really love Namcheap’s customer support being they respond very fast to tickets.
You should know that their support is offered via chat and email only, no phone support. But overall they handle issues swiftly and are very knowledgeable about managing WordPress.
I mentioned these competitors here just to show you that not having phone support is not a big deal. The most important thing is how responsive are they and I think that Namecheap does an amazing job.
Namecheap Starter Monthly vs Namecheap Starter Yearly?
Do you want to save money? Of course, we all do! This is why I don’t recommend getting the Namecheap Starter Monthly unless your project is temporary.
When I say temporary, I mean that you will have your website for only a few months. However, if you are 100% serious about your online business and are in this for the long haul, then you should get a Namecheap Starter Yearly plan to suit your needs. This way you will save the most money on your web hosting and business.
However, as part of this EasyWP Starter Review I wanted to share some others that extend longer. This way you will see that this review is unbiased and includes the good and bad.
NOTE: The following WordPress hosting providers extend longer, however are more expensive than Namecheap.
Although these competitors are more expensive than Nameheap, I wanted you to know about others that excel in this area.
EasyWP Starter Review Conclusion
Nameheap EasyWP Starter and others are the best web hosting plans online for beginners to save money online. Again what I love about them is that they have great uptime server performance, security and customer support.
Creating a WordPress website is easy than you might think. You don’t need any experience at all with web design, coding or html being they will even install WordPress for you on your domain with 1 click.
Before you buy your Namecheap EasyWP Starter plan, you should know how important to partner with a reliable web hosting provider.
