This in turn will give you the ability to perform an unlimited amount of Hostinger domain redirects online.

This blog Learnanet currently uses the Premium web hosting plan which allows you to create multiple websites, blogs, stores etc. I have used this plan to create several Hostinger redirects with domains.

Another thing that you can keep in mind is that you can setup redirects for temporary or permanent use and can remove them at anytime. To do a redirect non www to www, checkout this tutorial. You can also create php redirects, redirect http sites to https also if needed. It’s your decision depending on your personal needs. However, today I just wanted to show you how to point your domain names to any website you want.

How To Do 301 Redirects On Hostinger

Setting up 301 redirects on Hostinger involves utilizing the .htaccess file, a configuration file used by the Apache web server. This file allows you to control various aspects of your website’s behavior, including redirects. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do 301 redirects on Hostinger:

Access Your Hosting Account by logging in to your Hostinger account using your credentials. Once logged in, navigate to the File Manager section in your Hostinger control panel. This section allows you to manage the files associated with your website. In the File Manager, locate the .htaccess file in the root directory of your website. If you don’t see the .htaccess file, make sure to enable the option to view hidden files as the file name starts with a dot (.), which denotes a hidden file.

Before making any changes, it’s essential to create a backup of your existing .htaccess file. Right-click on the .htaccess file, select “Copy,” and then right-click again and choose “Paste” to create a copy. This backup ensures that you can revert to the original file if needed. Right-click on the .htaccess file and select “Edit” or “Code Edit” from the context menu. This will open the .htaccess file in a text editor. To create a 301 redirect, you’ll need to add lines of code to the .htaccess file. The format for a 301 redirect is as follows:

Redirect 301 /old-page-url /new-page-url

Replace “/old-page-url” with the URL of the page you want to redirect from and “/new-page-url” with the URL of the page you want to redirect to.

For example:

Redirect 301 /old-page.html /new-page.html

You can add multiple redirects by adding additional lines of code for each redirect. After adding the necessary redirects, click on the “Save” or “Save Changes” button to save the modifications to the .htaccess file. Once you’ve saved the changes, you can test the redirects by entering the old URLs in your browser and confirming that they redirect to the new URLs correctly. After implementing the redirects, it’s a good idea to monitor your website traffic using tools like Google Analytics to ensure that the redirects are functioning as expected and that there are no issues with traffic flow or user experience.

That’s it! You’ve successfully set up 301 redirects on Hostinger using the .htaccess file. Remember to periodically review and update your redirects as needed to maintain an optimal user experience and ensure that your website remains accessible and organized.

To Redirect One Domain to Another Domain Using .htaccess on Hostinger

You can follow these steps:

Access your hosting account by logging in to your Hostinger account dashboard. Once logged in, locate and access the File Manager tool. This tool allows you to manage the files associated with your website. Look for the .htaccess file in the root directory of the domain from which you want to redirect traffic. If you don’t have an existing .htaccess file, you can create one. Right-click on the .htaccess file and select “Edit” or “Code Edit” from the context menu. This will open the .htaccess file in a text editor.

To redirect one domain to another, you can use the following code snippet in your .htaccess file:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$$1 [L,R=301]

Replace “” with the domain you want to redirect from and “” with the domain you want to redirect to. After adding the redirect rule, save the changes to the .htaccess file. Test the redirect by entering the old domain URL in a web browser. You should be automatically redirected to the new domain. If you have multiple domains you want to redirect, you can add additional redirect rules following the same format in the .htaccess file.

After implementing the redirects, monitor your website traffic and ensure that the redirections are working as expected. If necessary, make adjustments to the .htaccess file to correct any issues. Next, clear Cache (if applicable). If you’ve previously accessed the old domain, your browser may have cached the redirect. Clear your browser cache or try accessing the old domain from a different browser or device to confirm the redirection is working correctly.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully redirected one domain to another using .htaccess on Hostinger. Remember to keep backups of your .htaccess file and test the redirects periodically to ensure they continue to function properly.

I hope that the post and video above today have helped you to see how easy it is to create Hostinger domain redirects with your hpanel.
